Terms Of Service
This document is tied to the current public build mapping so playtesters can tell which legal text applies to the currently available release.
Effective date: July 2, 2026. Legal version: legal-v0.0.3-ca-us-public-playtest-20260704-ai-transparency. These Terms govern access to Dirty Rebirth, Dirty Rebirth Official, Dirty Rebirth - Protocol Link, playtest spaces, Discord channels, prototypes, community tools, launcher updates, game builds, and related project materials operated by The Advancement Protocol. The owner account and legal-contact handle remain account-level identity details during the brand migration.
By using the website, joining the Discord server, selecting a role, submitting feedback, opening tickets, or participating in playtests, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site, server, or project spaces.
Eligibility And Accounts
- You must be old enough to use Discord and to consent to these Terms in your location. If you are under the age of legal majority, you need permission from a parent or legal guardian.
- Dirty Rebirth is not directed to children under 13. Do not use the website, launcher, Discord spaces, or playtest if you are under 13. If the project learns that an under-13 account submitted personal information, the project will restrict access and delete or de-identify the information where reasonably possible.
- Your Discord account is the identity layer for Protocol Link. You are responsible for activity connected to your account.
- Access is a revocable privilege, not a purchase, license, employment relationship, or guarantee of future access.
Legal Readiness Notice
These Terms are a practical playtest notice for a California-based independent game project. They are not a substitute for legal advice. Before a wider launch, paid access, Steam release, user-generated content marketplace, advertising, analytics expansion, anti-cheat driver, or collection of sensitive information, The Advancement Protocol should have these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the EULA, DMCA agent setup, age-rating path, security plan, and support process reviewed by a qualified attorney.
Community Rules And Moderation
- Respect other members. Critique systems, builds, bugs, and balance without attacking people.
- Do not post hate, harassment, doxxing, threats, spam, shock content, or private-life nonsense.
- Do not upload malware, exploit instructions, illegal content, sexual content involving minors, or anything intended to harm the project or community.
- Keep private builds, unreleased material, credentials, screenshots, test files, and internal notes where staff says they belong.
- The Advancement Protocol, the configured owner account, and Firewall Wardens may remove content, restrict channels, reset roles, require onboarding, lock the server, soft-ban onboarding, ban accounts, or escalate safety issues when needed.
- Owner actions do not require a public reason. Warden requests may require notes so moderation history stays useful.
Automation, Bots, Spam, And Security Abuse
Do not use bots, scrapers, credential stuffing, fake accounts, denial-of-service traffic, spam automation, exploit automation, launcher tampering, manifest tampering, reverse engineering for cheating, or attempts to bypass Discord, Steam, Cloudflare, launcher, game, or server security controls. Dirty Rebirth may use Discord OAuth, server-side role checks, signed sessions, same-origin checks, Cloudflare Turnstile or similar human verification, WAF/rate limits, audit logs, hash-checked manifests, server-side inventory/state, bans, and manual Warden review to protect the project.
Playtests, Prototypes, And Live Changes
Dirty Rebirth is an in-development project. Builds, channels, art, lore, systems, names, features, roles, access paths, files, posts, and availability may change, break, disappear, or be removed without notice. Do not rely on the website or Discord as permanent storage.
No Purchases Or Real-Money Economy In This Pre-Alpha
The current public pre-alpha notice assumes no paid purchase, subscription, loot box, real-money currency, cash-out economy, wager, prize, or marketplace is active. If Dirty Rebirth later adds paid access, Steam distribution, microtransactions, cosmetics, subscriptions, refunds, taxes, prizes, tournaments, ads, or sponsorships, the public Terms and Privacy Policy must be updated before those features are enabled.
AI-Assisted Development Disclosure
Dirty Rebirth is human-led and AI-assisted. The Advancement Protocol is the public operator, and the configured owner account remains the creative director, tester, and final decision-maker. AI tools, mostly Codex and related assistant workflows, are used as production assistants across code, diagnostics, UI tools, tests, documentation, Discord tooling, backend scripts, support text, and release workflows.
The workflow is intentionally safety-focused: new changes are checked through local preview, owner-only diagnostics, and human review before public promotion where practical. AI-assisted work can still produce broken logic, unclear wording, missing edge cases, bad assumptions, unstable balance, or bugs. Human project ownership, moderation decisions, and final release choices remain with The Advancement Protocol, the configured owner account, and authorized staff.
Confidentiality And Media Safety
Do not share private builds, internal screenshots, clipboard captures, staff-only notes, credentials, unreleased media, or other restricted material outside the channels where staff says they belong. Public playtester builds should not be treated as a place to store private files.
User Content And Feedback
Messages, tickets, bug reports, suggestions, screenshots, gameplay notes, faction feedback, and other submissions are user content. You keep ownership of content you already own, but you grant The Advancement Protocol and authorized project staff a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, copy, display, moderate, archive, adapt, summarize, and use that content for operating, improving, promoting, documenting, and developing Dirty Rebirth.
- Do not submit content you do not have the right to share.
- Do not submit confidential information unless you are comfortable with project staff reviewing it.
- Lobby chat may be visible in the game, launcher, and website. The Advancement Protocol and Firewall Wardens may review, hide, restore, preserve, or act on lobby chat messages for moderation, support, safety, legal compliance, and anti-abuse reasons.
- Do not post links, Discord invites, private personal information, passwords, payment details, government IDs, home addresses, or private DMs in lobby chat.
- Feedback may be used without compensation, credit, or obligation unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
Project Ownership, Names, And Provenance Evidence
Dirty Rebirth, The Advancement Protocol, Protocol Link, Firewall Wardens, SCRIPTERS, VULTURES, names, logos, art direction, builds, code, systems, lore, design notes, website UI, bot copy, release records, and project materials are claimed by The Advancement Protocol, the configured owner account, or their respective licensors. These Terms do not give you ownership of Dirty Rebirth materials or permission to redistribute private builds.
These marks are unregistered unless a page explicitly says a mark is federally registered. Do not use the registered trademark symbol unless registration actually exists. The project may still preserve evidence of first use, authorship, public launch, playtest availability, public announcements, Discord onboarding, build hashes, release timestamps, feedback, chat/support records, and archive history to document project chronology, ownership, moderation, anti-abuse, legal defense, and IP protection.
Accepting these Terms does not make you an employee, contractor, legal witness, or rights owner. It means your normal playtest participation records may be retained as part of the project history where legally allowed. If you do not agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy, do not use the website, Discord onboarding, launcher, or game; access may remain locked and you may be routed to Warden support instead of normal play.
Copyright And DMCA
Do not upload or submit content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, publicity rights, privacy rights, or other rights. Copyright, trademark, or takedown concerns can be sent to SplashControlDevLegal@proton.me. To claim full DMCA safe-harbor handling as an online service provider, The Advancement Protocol should also register a designated DMCA agent with the U.S. Copyright Office and keep the public contact information current.
No Warranties
The website, Discord integration, bot, onboarding flow, prototypes, and project materials are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Dirty Rebirth may contain bugs, downtime, data loss, incorrect status, broken links, or unfinished features.
Limitation Of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, The Advancement Protocol, the configured owner account, and Dirty Rebirth project staff are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost data; lost profits; account access loss; Discord outages; community disputes; user-generated content; moderation decisions; or prototype instability.
Third-Party Services
Discord, Cloudflare, hosting providers, browser vendors, and other third-party services are separate services with their own terms and policies. Dirty Rebirth is not responsible for their outages, account actions, security events, or policy decisions.
Accessibility, Ratings, And Platform Rules
Dirty Rebirth should maintain reasonable accessibility and safety practices as the project matures, including readable UI, remappable controls where practical, subtitle/audio options where needed, and clear reporting paths. Before commercial release or platform distribution, The Advancement Protocol should complete the required age-rating, store-page, platform, tax, consumer-protection, and developer-account requirements for each storefront and territory.
Termination
Access may be suspended or terminated at any time to protect the project, enforce rules, comply with law, respond to abuse, or preserve community safety. If a Discord account is banned from Dirty Rebirth Official, Protocol Link website access is also locked.
Changes To These Terms
These Terms may be updated as the project changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
Contact
Use Protocol Link, Warden Desk, breach-ticket flow, or the Dirty Rebirth Discord staff channels for moderation, support, and access concerns. Legal, privacy, copyright, trademark, security, or California rights questions can be sent to SplashControlDevLegal@proton.me. Do not send passwords, payment details, government IDs, home addresses, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Warden help
Send one quiet Warden signal from anywhere on Protocol Link. If your Discord account is banned, signing in opens the support ticket path instead of normal site access.
