Launcher download

Choose the launcher footprint before downloading. Full Launcher is the complete local launcher. Lite Launcher is the much smaller display shell that stays connected to Protocol Link and renders the hosted launcher surface.

What the launcher does

  • With verified web checks enabled, checks its own self-update manifest first so updater fixes, official URLs, and trust text stay current.
  • Checks the public game manifest, downloads only missing or changed files, verifies them by hash, and removes stale public-playtest files.
  • Launches the exported Windows build from the Dirty Rebirth AppData install folder.
  • Repair reruns the manifest comparison and replaces bad or missing files.

What playtesters should expect

  • Use the official Download page and launcher manifest details when checking that the file came from the intended source.
  • Verified web checks can be turned off only for local fallback play. In that mode, update, repair, embedded web pages, support, chat, and networked game services stay blocked until verified checks are turned back on.
  • The public package is intended to be a Godot Windows export, not a loose project folder with gameplay source files.
  • If launch breaks, reopen the launcher and press Repair before opening a Warden ticket.
Downloading this file uses normal public web request data such as route, time, and host security logs. It does not require Discord login and does not read screenshots, clipboard contents, passwords, or local files.

What is and is not included
